He says he doesn’t want to take away the welcome mat for immigrants. Well Gerry that’s fine if the Question was about immigrants. The Question was about ILLEGAL ALIENS or ILLEGAL IMMAGRATION. Didn’t they teach you in Boston the meaning of the work “Illegal”? I know you Democrats like to splice words… I think we are still debating of the meaning of the word “IS”.

Gerry how about stop taking credit for things you have nothing to do with like Gang Task Force, Red Sox Winning in Game Seven, exaggerated test scores, and start owning up to your failures, Illegal Aliens, Traffic Congestion and a clear Lack of Leadership on your part. Current Democrat Chairman, Democrats on the Board of Supervisors are responsible for the Tysons Tunnel Debacle. They all voted for a above ground monstrosity through McLean and Tysons for Rail to Dulles, and if that wasn’t bad enough they gave the contract to Bechtel, the company responsible for the Big Dig and just happens to be the Company that funded Gerry Connolly’s former boss in the US Senate Sen. Cranston of California also known as the Senator from Bechtel. Gerry Connolly was his Chief of Staff of the Keating Five Senator.

Seven Commitments for a Better Fairfax County

Our vision is a Fairfax County that is a more livable place where our neighborhoods are not congested with traffic, our schools achieve high standards, our taxes are not spiraling upward, and our laws are respected and fairly enforced.

We, the undersigned candidates for the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors commit to the following to work for a better Fairfax County:

Reducing Traffic Congestion

Problem: Traffic and congestion are rising and stifling our quality of life. Studies indicate that our congestion is now among the worst in the nation. Since Chairman Connolly has served on the Board, tens of thousands of new housing units have been approved without the needed road improvements. Yet, during this same time period, the County has issued only one bond for transportation, of which only small percentage went to new roads. A second bond is finally on this year's ballot.

We will make transportation the number one priority of the County, not the fifth priority out of six as is the case under Chairman Connolly.

We commit to use Fairfax County’s bond capacity to increase road funding. We will emphasize road and intersection improvements with these new funds.

In addition to roads, we support cost effective mass transit solutions throughout the County.

We will complete the Fairfax County Parkway and turn key stop lights on the Parkway into interchanges. We will to work relieve congestion on key transportation corridors throughout the County.

We will make the traffic control center a comprehensive interactive center, where key intersections are visually monitored and made more efficient. Further, we will use smart technology to keep traffic flowing.

Lowering Taxes And Spending Responsibly

Problem: During Chairman Connolly’s tenure on the Board of Supervisors, the County budget has increased substantially. Homeowner taxes have doubled. Many residents question where all this money from the huge increase in real estate values has gone. What County services are much better than they were four years ago? Further, the County has had a tolerance for sloppy and wasteful spending practices.

We commit to eliminate wasteful spending and cost overruns.

We will appoint a Blue Ribbon Panel of experts on budgets and accounting to review our budget process, our spending priorities and the effectiveness of current spending. These will be experts from the public, private and non-profit sectors.

We commit to bring spending under control, set priorities and ultimately reduce each homeowner's property tax in real dollars.

We intend to grow the commercial real estate base, not taxes, thereby reducing the burden on residents. We will grow the base, not the tax.

We will build a stronger Board Auditor’s Office, which currently has only two employees, to oversee our $6 billion budget.

Confronting Illegal Immigration

Problem: We are a country of immigrants and we fully support and encourage legal immigration and applaud our ethnic communities for their contributions to Fairfax County. However, illegal immigration is an increasing problem in Fairfax County. Illegal immigration contributes in a major way to the deterioration of our neighborhoods.

We commit to enforcing the law when it comes to overcrowding and illegal boarding houses. We will initiate public nuisance lawsuits when appropriate.

We will not fund work centers for illegal immigrants.

We will not use affordable and workforce housing or other taxpayer resources to provide housing for illegal immigrants.

We will explore all options to help deport illegal immigrants who have committed serious crimes (felonies) after they have served their time.

We will analyze the true impact on the county budget of the illegal immigrant problem so the public and the Board of Supervisors can make informed decisions and work to reduce this impact by eliminating non-essential services for illegal immigrants.

Getting Development Under Control

Problem: The current Democrat majority on the Board of Supervisors continues to approve massive housing development projects without reasonable transportation “proffers” from the developers and without the necessary commitments for infrastructure to accommodate the resulting effects.

We will work to ensure that roads, schools, storm water and infrastructure are in place before new development or increased density is allowed.

We will put into effect tougher guidelines to prevent conflicts of interests and perceived conflicts of interests arising from contributions to supervisors from the development community.

Preserving The Environment

Problem: As Fairfax County has been more intensively developed in recent years, key components of the suburban lifestyle – such as clean air, open space and trees, natural and ornamental vegetation, clean creeks and streams, a dark sky at night, and an abundance of wildlife -- have become increasingly threatened. The consequences are not just aesthetic. Pollution brings with it health problems, and mitigation efforts often impose heavy tax burdens on the residents.

We promise to be good stewards of the environment by taking cost effective actions to preserve the good things we have now and by mitigating the existing problems.

We will reevaluate our efforts to protect the Chesapeake Bay, eliminate those actions that have little or no effect, and increase efforts that are critical to preserving wetlands and reducing actual pollution into the Bay.

We will impose discipline on the storm water and watershed management program. We will evaluate the 120 projects completed over the past five years to determine which kinds of projects actually protect the public and the environment and which are the most economically sound. We will use that new knowledge to prioritize projects so that we get the biggest bang for our environmental buck.

Development is projected to reduce the existing tree canopy from the current 41% of the County to 37% by 2030. We will encourage development that adds to, not subtracts from, the existing tree canopy. We will encourage builders and home owners to plant trees in ways that shade buildings and reduce energy consumption.

We will work with builders to use low impact development techniques such as permeable paving for parking areas, and other approaches to put rain water back into the ground, rather than flooding into streams and eroding streambeds.

Protecting Our Neighborhoods & Quality of Life

Problem: We believe that most residents move to Fairfax County to enjoy a suburban lifestyle. Yet, Fairfax County’s suburban neighborhoods are under assault from over development approved by Chairman Connolly’s Board of Supervisors. The results have been increased traffic congestion and gridlock, school children learning in trailers, increased strain on police and other public services, and flaunting of the ordinances that protect the quality of life in our neighborhoods.

We will respect the wishes of our constituents. We will work with citizens and communities to provide them a Fairfax County we can all be pleased to call home.

We will provide our police the resources to fight gangs.

We will work to keep America’s best teachers in Fairfax County.

We will delay actions on redevelopment proposals until the Citizen Task Force studying that issue reports.

We will increase police protection of neighborhoods by increasing training, recruitment, staffing and retention efforts. We will allow officers to take police vehicles home to their Fairfax neighborhoods when off duty.

Openness, Ethics and Accountability

Problem: Campaign contributions are necessary for any person to run for public office. Questions can and have been raised regarding the timing and appropriateness of certain contributions being made to the Chairman Connolly. There should never be a conflict of interest or even the appearance of a conflict of interest between a campaign contribution and a vote made by an elected official. A person holding the public trust should not only follow the letter of the law but the spirit of the law.

We will appoint an independent Ethics Officer for the Board and strengthen conflict of interest rules.

We will strengthen whistle blower provisions to protect those exposing waste, fraud, and abuse by County officials.

We will set a new standard with regard to openness, ethics, and accountability to the citizens of Fairfax County regarding campaign contributions.

Gary Baise - Candidate for Chairman, Fairfax County Board of Supervisors

more information at http://www.votebaise.com/

Endorsed by:

Michael Fry - Sully District Supervisor

Patrick S. Gary learned the value of hard work and ethics. Garry Went to University of Illinois where he earned a BS in Agriculture and went on to Indiana Law School.

After Law School Gary went to work for one of hero’s of “Watergate” Bill Ruckelshaus.

Chairman Gerry Connolly comes from Boston, Massachusetts. Gerry joined the Seminary to avoid the draft. Just as the Vietnam War ended Gerry Connolly left the Seminary.

Chairman Gerry Connolly went to work for Sen. Alan Cranston of California also know as the Senator from Bechtel also one of the Keating Five. His boss Senator Cranston left Washington in disgrace.

So, looking at these two candidates and whom they choose to associate themselves speak volumes one associated himself with the Hero of Watergate, the other worked for one of the Keating Five Senators who left Washington in disgrace.

Chairman Connolly supports the no-bid contract given to Bechtel and is against competitive bidding for the tunnel. Chairman Connolly, use to work for the Senator from Bechtel Alan Cranston (D-CA). Has Chairman Connolly become to the Chairman for Bechtel’s interest in Fairfax County? Is Chairman Connolly that clueless that he doesn’t know the company responsible for the “Big Dig” in his hometown of Boston, Massachusetts, or is he just looking out for Bechtel.

So, my fellow Virginians I plan to vote for Gary Baise on November 6, 2007, I feel a guy who worked for the Hero of Watergate is better then the man who worked for one of the Keating Five.

Show me the Numbers!!!

Gerry Connolly there he goes again, exaggerating the facts and using fuzzy numbers.

Gerry’s latest commercial he brags about how he cut Gang crimes in half. You had nothing to do with it. It was Rep. Frank Wolf who got federal funds for Fairfax County, Not you. Chairman Connolly in the past four years has presided over increasing gridlock on our roads, nearly doubling our property taxes and seen a decline in Graduation rates in Fairfax County Public Schools.

In addition to his ineffective leadership, Chairman Connolly has clear appearances of conflict of interests. How can Chairman Connolly be fair when voting or arguing a point when he is beholden to BIG Developers who have given him 1.00 out of every $3.00 he has in his war chest. It comes to a grand total of a little more then $500,000. Under Chairman Connolly’s directions, this Board has approved almost 100% of all high density land use applications. I am proud of my record for adding to traffic congestion and gridlocked intersections." Who do you think that benefited? Chairman Connolly supports the “Tysons Corner Task Force” which is packed with his Developer buddies. Important to note this Task Force is Chaired by an Employee of SAIC where just happens to be Chairman Connolly’s Employer. For those of you who may have missed it, SAIC is notorious corporate polluter whom have been sited several times for falsifying documents by the EPA and has plead guilty in court.

Is this payback for political contributions, makes one think.

Candidate In VA Took Subsidies For Farm… BIG DEAL

TELL ME WASHINGTON POST WHAT DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH MY COMMUTE AND QUALITY OF LIFE IN FAIRFAX COUNTY.

In today's Northern Edition of the Washington Post, reporter, Bill Turque, wrote that Republican Candidate for Chairman in Fairfax County, Gary Baise, received farm subsidies. Turque, however, failed to report that other well known northern Virginia residents, including Sam Donaldson, also receives farm subsidies. Turque, could have better served the reading public if he had included that the 104th Republican Congress tried to cut farm subsidies as a means tested program but was blocked by Democrats in the House and Senate.

Funny Bill, you just overlook these facts or did you just screen out data that would have provided depth in the investigative article? It was noted that Baise has received a total of $300,000 which averages out to $30,000 a year. Gerry Connolly has received over $300,000 dollars (if not more than $400,000) from the development community. Just like the subsidies are legal, Connolly claims these donations are also legal. The similarities stop there. These campaign donations come from developers who stand to make huge profits when their land is upzoned for higher land use. Plus, decisions made by Connolly affect the quality of life of people living in Fairfax County.

The Washington Post is to be commended on its investigative reporting. However, Bill, unless you cross over and report on Connolly's campaign donations, then will you not be banded for Yellow Journalism?

Therefore, in fairness, I challenge you to write about how Connolly gets more than $1 out of every $3 dollars in his war chest from big Northern Virginia developers? Why not talk about the SAIC vote and Gerry Connolly’s job offer with SAIC? Why not spend time writing about how rubber stamping every high density land use application just adds to traffic congestion and intersection gridlock? Why not reveal that Connolly's claim that gang activity in schools is based on the results of a questionnaire completed by students in December 2005? Why not write about Chairman Connolly refusing to take calls from County residence about illegal aliens issue? Why not write about how developers make contributions to Connolly's campaign right before and after their land use applications are heard?

Turque, unfortunately, I suspect you won’t write about any issue that would shine an unfavorable light on Connolly's claim for all the things that "he has done." This is totally unfair to those readers who are willing to pay to read fair and unbiased reporting in the Washington Post. Post readers deserves better and expect fairness in reporting. What made this story news worthy? Bill what was it about the payments that was illegal, unethical, or improper? It’s not like Gary is getting money from Developers and then turning around and awarding contracts to them.

Gary Baise Trail’s Connolly by only 3%

I heard on WMAL this morning that someone did a Poll in Fairfax County about the chairman’s race, shows Connolly is only up by 3%. They mentioned it in the 5:00 am hour and I was ½ asleep so didn’t get who did the poll.

The Fact an entrenched incumbent, who seems to have all the money in the game from every Developer in Northern Virginia, would be leaps ahead of his GOP Challenger Gary Baise. But according to WMAL this morning Gary Baise has a razor slim lead.

I wonder if Connolly being slammed in the last 3 debates has anything to do with it. Connolly playing the Guilt by association doesn’t seem to be working. Considering Gerry Connolly seems to be “on the Take” from every developer in NOVA and a few from Maryland and DC. Gerry’s employer SAIC has pleaded guilty to falsifying test results of samples from Superfund toxic waste sites around the country. I think the fact that Connolly is resorting to bringing up Jack Abramoff shows he might be a little desperate. Gerry seems like you are trying to nationalize this election. You have take cheap shots at President Bush, made up half truths about Baise’s association with CREA just stop it!!! Stick to the issues at hand your lack of leadership over the past 4 years. Congestion has gotten worse under your watch. Four years ago at the Candidates Debates you stood there saying we will have Metro to Dulles in four years, WHERE IS IT GERRY??? Gerry you have received a generous contribution from Bechtel the company responsible for the BIG DIG which stuck it to the taxpayers to the tune of 11 Billion Dollars in over runs. Is it just a big coincidence that Bechtel will be building Metro to Dulles?

Gerry Connolly Ethically Challenged...

Connolly Ducks Chris Core Show

This morning WMAL Award wining host Christ Core was talking about the Debate that was sponsored by the Fairfax County Chamber. Gary Baise made the case for the Quality of life in the last four years has gone down. Congestion is up, Taxes are up; the Graduation Rate in public schools is dropping from Four years ago from 90 something to 84%.

Chairman Connolly response was Fairfax County is the Envy of the whole country. Gerry Connolly’s Fairfax County all is OK.

Chris Core asked for Chairman Connolly to call in but he refused, and this is for the second time. A few weeks ago when Chris was talking about Illegal immigration and jurisdictions working together he asked for Chairman Connolly to come on his show, he refused. That time he also hung up on residents of Fairfax County who called his office.

Chris had a number of callers this morning of all the callers only two agreed with Gerry Connolly when he said everything is ok in Fairfax. The Fact Connolly refused to go on the Chris Core Show speaks volumes. Chris Core has the largest audience in his time slot in the DC Metro area which covers Fairfax County. There were more people listening today then attended the Chamber Debates yesterday where he was batted around like a Cat with a new Cat toy.

Chairman Connolly your days of bulling and intimidating are coming to an end sooner rather than later. You turn a deaf ear to your constituents. Why Gerry does your office hang up on us when we call your office. If things are so great why didn’t you go on The Chris Core show to make your case? You didn’t because you too know the truth and it’s that under your watch we have seen the quality of life has gone down. Under your watch my property taxes have almost doubled (and don’t give me your damn story of the Rate going down, we aren’t that STUPID) you are a liar Chairman Connolly.

I bet you or one of your lackies was listening to The Chris Core Show and you must of gotten an earful. Remember Gerry the old Herndon City Council behaved like you too, where are they now? I have a feeling you will have all the time in the world to work your other job at SAIC (don’t know if they still would want you around after you lose) or to run for Congress. I don’t know what Fairfax County he is living in, it’s obvious from today’s debates it’s not the Same Fairfax County I live in. The Fairfax County I live in I spend forty five minutes in traffic on a good DAY to travel 4 miles. Chairman Connolly also seems to think Fairfax County is just doing fine. He seems to think property taxes are lower now then they were four years ago. How stupid does he think we are? Our property taxes have close to double or have doubled for most of us in Fairfax County. But not in GERRYLAND. In Gerry land taxes are falling and he thinks committing not to raise taxes is reckless. Seems like Connolly wants to reach into our pockets for more and more money.

Connolly clearly lost today’s debate his demeanor was proof positive how he was pacing the halls of the Westin Hotel with a grim look on his face.

Connolly has demonstrated beyond a reasonable doubt today that he has no credibility and a clear lack of leadership. Connolly likes to point his finger at everyone for his failures but the guy he sees when he looks in a mirror.

While by contras Gary Baise showed tremendous grasp of the issues and offered unique solutions for problems like congestion, illegal aliens and schools. What did Connolly say schools are bad because of No Child Left Behind, Illegal Aliens are because of the Federal Government and Congestion is because of Richmond? Gerry it can’t always be someone else is fault. Hell my five year old has more sense then that.

Connolly's Two Roles Provoke QuestionsTysons Corner Firm Employs Chairman Of Fairfax Board

From the Sunday, July 8, 2007 Washington Post

Connolly's Two Roles Provoke QuestionsTysons Corner Firm Employs Chairman Of Fairfax Board
By Bill TurqueWashington Post
Staff WriterSunday, July 8, 2007;

A01

Fairfax County Board of Supervisors Chairman Gerald E. The amendment Fitzgerald cites refers only to the idea of a station in the west area. The vote to specify the east location was, as The Examiner described it, on Oct. 28, 2002. As the Providence District board member, Connolly worked with board staff on the Locally Approved Alternative (LPA) option that directed the east location.

Fitzgerald did point out one error we readily acknowledge: Our June 18 oped stated that Connolly voted for the LPA “three weeks before taking a job at SAIC.” The vote actually occurred three weeks after Connolly was hired as SAIC’s director of community relations. According to the official minutes of the Oct. 28 meeting and people interviewed by The Examiner who were in attendance, Connolly voted for the LPA without disclosing his ties to SAIC or recusing himself on a measure that clearly benefited his new employer.

The Code of Virginia forbids any local government official from accepting “any business or professional opportunity when he knows there is a reasonable likelihood that the opportunity is being afforded him to influence him in the performance of his official duties.” State law also requires conflict of interest disclosures to “be reflected in the public records of the agency for five years,” but there is no record of any such disclosure by Connolly at the Oct. 28 meeting.

Two years later, Connolly did disclose his SAIC connection at the Feb. 23, 2004, board meeting that created the Tysons Corner tax district, but he again failed to recuse himself from voting on a project that would directly benefit his employer.

We’ll leave it to Examiner readers to decide whether this is acceptable behavior on the part of a local official elected to safeguard the public interest — and whether it’s appropriate for a public information officer such as Fitzgerald to resort to such obfuscation to defend it.

Chairman Connolly, why the Secret Meetings?

Gerry why are you conducting meetings about the Tyson's Tunnel project or as I like to call it "BIG DIG II" in secrecy, what don’t you want us to know about Big Dig II?

Perhaps it has the potential to make the Original Big Dig look like a bargain with its cost over runs? He would like the people of Fairfax County to give him another four years.

What will another four years of Gerry Connolly will give us?

1) We will see a continuation of is Radical Tax, Tax, Tax and Spend, Spend, Spend politics that he is known for.
2) Don’t expect to see any real solution to Traffic Congestion. Gerry Connolly supports a tunnel through Tyson’s Corner, doesn’t that remind you of the “Big Dig” do we really want to spend billions for a tunnel that when constructed won’t be safe?

Four Pillars of Modern Liberalism

Pillar I: Raise Taxes on the Rich

Liberals like to think that everyone Republican with money got it from doing something wrong. As the famous bootlegger Papa Joe Kennedy posed, that is how the Kennedys made their money. Want a more modern example? William Jefferson Clinton and his wife, Hillary Rodham Clinton (the Rodham only in NY), came into wealth by selling some waterfront properties (swamps) – White Water.

Then we have President Ronald Wilson Reagan (the greatest President of the 20th Century). Reagan worked hard, came up by the boot straps and made it big in Hollywood and later politics. He is someone we can be proud of. I don’t think people will ever say that about Bill Clinton, the only President who has been debarred and impeached, and he wasn’t removed from office on the account that the Democrats in the senate were partisan hacks!

Pillar II: Bash All People of Faith – Ban God from the Public Square

Liberals are, for the lack of better words, “God Haters”. They resent all those with faith. They characterize those with faith as bible thumpers, Christian NAZI. Ultra liberal talk show host Rosie O’Donnell said as much on The View in 2006, noting that Christians are just like the Taliban. Not one liberal condemned her comments. I have a theory – liberals want to force God out of the Public Square because they want to foster a climate of adultery and vile behavior without any qualms. It’s easier on their conscience, when they support Abortion on demand, gay marriage, and prostitution. They like to tout how great the Clinton years were… the Clinton years left a great deal of people cash wealthy but morally bankrupt.

Pillar III: Blame America First

Years ago, Ambassador Gene Kirkpatrick made a speech where she referred to the “Blame America First crowd”. Liberals are always first in line when it comes to blaming America – everything is our fault. I remember after 9-11, when radical leftist, Victoria Jones, who had a show on WMAL before it was canceled for ratings in the gutter, would ask people why we were attacked on 9-11 and eluded to the fact that somehow we were responsible for 9-11. Similarly, I went to talk at Career Day at a high school in Maryland where a representative from Albert Wynn’s office, (Democrat from Maryland – 4), for lack of better words, said we were attacked on 9-11 because “we left the people of Afghanistan hanging…” In the 1980s, these same liberals would have been the ones who would have advocated peaceful co-existence with the Communist, never mind the millions of people living under the boot of the Soviet Empire. They wanted to make nice with the Communists. If the liberals had their way, we would still have an Iron Curtain dividing Europe today.

Thank you, President Reagan – you stood up to the bullies on the Global Playground. Now we need not fear the boot of the Soviet Empire. And today, the new Russia is a thriving democracy. It doesn’t look like our Democracy, no. It is their form of Democracy.

Pillar IV: Eco Fascism

“Eco Fascism” is the newest pillar for liberals. They have all jumped on the global warming bandwagon. They ignore climatologists who disagree, and accuse them of being just like Holocaust deniers. Liberals are also, when they can, firing climatologists who don’t tout their radical green agenda. They want to ban the automobile for all of us, while Hilary Clinton uses three different private jets to go on various campaign stops in one day, or Al Gore, the great Profit, has a mansion in Tennessee which uses more electricity in one day then most of our homes do in a month. I guess Al Gore believes in “Do as I say, not as I do”. In his book, Al Gore speaks of his utopia where the price of gas is over four dollars a gallon, which would drive Americans out of their cars.

Environmentalism is the liberals’ religion, and Al Gore is their prophet. To quote Ann Coulter, from her New York Times Best Seller book, they are just “Godless”.

These are the same people who, in the 70s, were screaming about the coming Ice Age and how the whole world was going to freeze. Now it’s going to get too warm. Here is just a thought – it is easier to deal with global warming than cooling.

Four Pillars of Modern Liberalism (part ii)

Pillar III: Blame America First

Third Pillar for Liberals is Blame America first. During this time, we have seen nothing but increased taxes on our property, little improvement in our schools, and an increase in congestion which robs of us of one of our most precious commodities – time.

The people of Fairfax County Deserves better than a Massachusetts Liberal. Gerry Connolly doesn’t understand Fairfax County, Virginia and its Values. Gerry Connolly came to Fairfax County from Boston, Massachusetts the home of Gay Marriage, Abortion on Demand, Rep. Barney Franks, Senator Ted “Cut and Run” Kennedy, and John “Mr. Teresa Heinz” Kerry. Gerry Connolly has a lot more in common with those guys and the values of Massachusetts then he does with Virginia Values, Rep. Frank Wolf, Rep Tom Davis, Sen. John Warner and the people of Virginia who believe Family Values isn’t a bad word.

Gerry Connolly supports the radical NEA and AFT agenda which includes New Math, New History, and the teaching of homosexuality in public Schools. Gerry Connolly would like nothing more then to Turn Fairfax County in to another Boston, Massachusetts or a Montgomery County, Maryland, where the rights of the teachers out weigh the rights to the parents. Gerry Connolly also think all problems can be solved by raising taxes. Fairfax County schools are flooded with illegal alien because Gerry Connolly wants to pass the buck on enforcement of immigration laws. A result of this is MS-13 and Fairfax County schools not meeting the “No child Left behind Program. “

Our tax dollars hard at work, in enforcing a radical NEA – AFT agenda; (New Math, New History, and the teaching of homosexuality) Allowing illegal aliens to flood our communities brining violent crimes to our street (MS - 13) ; Congestion on our roads through the roof. It is taking what four years ago was a 20 minute commute to now a 45 minute commute in most cases.

Gerry Connolly is out of touch with Fairfax County, Virginia.

Gerry Connolly

Connolly isn't qualified to be Chairman for another four years...

Traffic is the Issue, NOT JACK ABRAMOFF

"It raises a host of questions about what he knew about the funding of CREA," Connolly said. This is a quote from the Fairfax County Times a liberal biased local newspaper in Fairfax County, Virginia.

It is obvious that now Gerry Connolly after realizing he has been a do nothing chairman for four years now has a serious opponent. Chairman Connolly has come to the harsh realization he can’t hang out with his Developer buddies and his elitist friends from Massachusetts and ignore the 800 lb Gorilla in Fairfax County called TRAFFIC CONGESSTION.

So, what does Chairman Connolly do? Connolly and his cronies go on the attack and distort Gary Baise’s record. Then they seem to use guilt by association condemning Gary because he serves on an honorary board with five other more prominent environmentalists, serve with Gary on the Honorary board of CREA.

So, Gerry our sources saw you at a DSCC fundraiser with Ted and Pat Kennedy does that mean you are a drunk driver, and a drug addict? Our sources also saw you with Rep. Barney Franks, who was running a male prostitution ring out of his Georgetown Town home, are you running on out of your home too? This sound ludicrous to you, well that’s how ludicrous you as you put “Hang Jack Abram off around Gary’s neck”

Gerry shut up, already! About Jack Abram off, at last check Jack is in jail in Florida. I am sure that’s what many Virginians think about while they are sitting in Traffic on Route 7 in Tyson’s, or Route 123 or 1-66 or any number of congested roads in Fairfax County. “I am really glad that Chairman Gerry Connolly is talking about Jack Abramoff and how that guy Gary Baise who is running against him, knew someone who knew Jack Abram off.

That’s only wishful thinking Gerry, when Virginians are sitting in traffic. They ask themselves, Chairman Connolly and the Democrats had twelve years to fix the traffic congestion in Fairfax County. Seems only solutions they have is raising property taxes time and time again. Also Gerry they see right through your election year ploy to cut property taxes.

Gerry you are a Carpet bagger from Massachusetts, maybe their that’s how Sen. Ted Kennedy, Sen. John Kerry or as we call him Mr. Teresa Heinz, or Rep. Barney Franks, who had a male prostitution ring running out of his town home in Georgetown.

Gerry start numbering your days… we have real Virginian running for Fairfax County Chairman, that’s Gary Baise, his kids went to public schools in Fairfax County and his wife Taught for years in Fairfax County Schools.

RESIGN NOW, Senator Webb

I didn’t think a senator could be so, out of touch with his constituents. I didn’t think we could have a Senator who is so disrespectful to our service men and women. I never ever thought we’d ever have a Senator who would put party above his constituents. I never thought we’d actually have Senator who was so mean, spiteful and full of hate. I NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS would have guessed a Senator would use his son as a Shield from attacks.

Who are the unfortunate ones who have to call such a person their Senator well, it is us, in Virginia our Senator Jim Webb is all of those things and more. Sen. Webb was elected to the Senate by greatly distorting, exaggerating and out right lying about the record of Senator George Allen, now he was a GREAT SENATOR, unfortunately hell fell victim to the liberal media and lies told by Jim Webb and his terrorist loving supporters.

Jim Webb has firmly joined with the ilks of his party who at all cost want the US to lose the War on Terror. They seem to think Iraq is a separate conflict outside the War on Terror. Sen. Jim Webb along with Sen. Harry Reed, Rep. Jack Murtha and Speaker Pelosi and the most radical extremist elements of their party are now holding funding up to score political points with the MoveOn.org crowd.

Sen. One would think he would talk about the issues at hand like; why is traffic so bad? Why does Fairfax County look the other way when it comes to Illegal Aliens? Why have the Fairfax County Public Schools adopted the radical NEA and AFT agenda?

Chairman Gerry Connolly doesn’t want to talk about the issues rather he wants to demonize Gary Baise. As one of our sources told us Chairman Connolly is going to hang “Jack Abramoff around Gary’s neck”. Connolly’s cronies have already started a concerted effort to tie Gary to Jack Abramoff. Here are the facts about Gary he has never met Jack Abramoff. Gary is an honorary board member of Council of Republicans for Environmental Advocacy (CREA), he servers on this board along with five other members of this honorary board, who are a lot more prominent in then Gary Baise.

Gerry why won’t you talk about the real issue, like Traffic and all your did or didn’t do in your case to elevate the problem. Or please Tell us what are your plans for alterative traffic patterns once Metro starts construction from Tyson’s to Dullus, oh yea you don’t have one.

Well I suppose if I was a Liberal Carpet bagger from Boston, Massachusetts, who has been a do nothing chairman who is entirely beholden to the Radical Left; also if I was bought and paid for by every big developer NOVa and a few in Maryland; and be holds liberal Boston, Massachusetts Values. I would try and link Gary to a crooked lobbyist who is in jail too.

Gerry stick to the issues!

Few Questions to Chairman Gerry Connolly...

Chairman Connolly you and the Democrats have controled Fairfax County for the past 12 years. What have you done in those twelve years? Tell me why should I or anyone in Fairfax County vote for you and your party again for another four year term?

Why is Traffic so bad?

Traffic has gotten worse and worse. It takes me longer to get from Tyson’s corner to my Vianna home. Tweleve years ago, I could make the drive in 30 minutes during rush hour. Today the same drive takes me 45 minutes to 1 hour and 15 minutes, why is that? Why does it take longer for me to go from point “a” in Fairfax county to point “b” in Fairfax County, then it did four years ago.

Why are my property assessments going up and up?

My property assessments have gone through the roof over the past twelve years, my salary hasn’t gone through the roof. My wife and I both work, I am an Architect working in Tyson’s Corner and my wife is a CPA working in Bethesda, Maryland. We aren’t The RICH which your party seems to think anyone make an income of 250k a year is super wealthy. Why do we have to pay so much in property taxes, we currently live in a modest home, I have seen my neighbors move out because they can’t afford to pay the oppressive taxes. To be blunt your recent claim to cut property taxes in Fairfax County this year is nothing more than an election year scheme to get votes.

Why do I have pay for illegal aliens coming into Fairfax County?

Why do you give us a copout answer “…it is the Federal Government’s job…” Our schools in Fairfax county aren’t are getting worse. Why do we have illegal aliens who don’t pay any local taxes sending their kids to Fairfax County Public Schools? Why do you want to protect law breakers who come into our country illegally?

Why do you allow for reckless development in Fairfax County?

The result of your reckless development of Fairfax County has over crowded the schools; Our roads are over crowded do to your reckless development in Fairfax County. Why are you in bed (figuratively) every developer in Northern Virginia and a few in Maryland.

I will not be voting for you.

Connolly the Carpetbagger

Gerry does not subscribe to traditional Virginian Values, instead he subscribes to the believes of Ultra Liberals like Openly Gay Member of Congress Rep. We can surmise a few things, Gerry wants to let the Flood gates open for illegal aliens; the proof is how he stuck it to the people of Herndon, VA with the day labor site in Herndon. We have already gotten rid of the worthless Herndon city council which was made up of Connolly Allies, now it’s time we vote out the King himself Gerry Connolly.

Chairman Connolly also openly embraces the liberal NEA – AFT agenda that has given us such things as “New Math”, “Ebonics”, “New History” and other radical concepts.

We must call Chairman Connolly, on what he is; he is a CARPETBAGGER from the land of Barney Frank, Chappaquiddick Ted, and John Kerry. He embraces the values of Massachusetts where they have legalized or on the way to legalizing Gay Marriage.

We need a real Virginian; Who is that Gary Baise, his kids actually attended public Schools Fairfax County, whose wife was a public school teacher for years. We need Gary Baise for Fairfax County Chairman, I ask all the Democrats to join Gary Baise’s Team, which is Team Virginia to drive out that Liberal carpetbagger with his Liberal Massachusetts Values out of Fairfax County.

Do we really want Massachusetts values in Fairfax County, Virginia?

Bluey: Democrats Go 0 for 7 in 2007

In 1994, the much-hailed Republican Revolution followed through on their "Contract with America", keeping their promises to vote in the first 100 days on legislation important to America. In 2007, the Democrats clearly didn't have the political will to do the same.

A scorecard for the first 100 days:

1) Raise minimum-wage without protections for small business: Conferees not appointed.

2) Implement 9/11 Commission recommendations with payback to unions: Conferees not appointed. Why is he running scared well, evidently a no name Republican has been on the receiving end of attacks from his supporters? They are going after him on being an honorary board member of CREA, note he serves on the board with several prominent members in the environmental movement. Baise is probably the least known of the board. Along with Baise these guys are also on the board of CREA, Gaylon Layfield, The Chesapeake Bay Foundation, Linda Porter, Land Trust, Virginia, Jimmy Wheat, The Chesapeake Bay Foundation, Doug Wheeler, Former Executive Director, The Sierra Club, George Xixis, Biotech and Bioethics Advisor. The question is these guys going to be indicted along with Baise.

There point of argument is that Baise knows Italia Federici, president of CREA. They go on to say since Jack Abramoff, know Italia Federici and she knows Gary Baise, it’s a forgone conclusion that Baise will be indicted. They draw the conclusion that Abramoff indicted, means Italia Federici will be indicted thereby so, will Baise.

Well news flash liberal nuts and freaks, I to KNOW Italia Federici and I also know the Vice President of CREA Jared Carpenter (I met them both at CPAC in 2002), does that mean I am also going to be indicted too? Does this mean everyone in Washington who ever met, saw, served Jack Abramoff food at restaurants, anyone who knowing or unknowing saw him crossing the street, met him at cocktail party, anyone who saw him at temple, or even saw his shadow will be indicted too is that correct liberal nuts, and screw balls.

But all these baseless attacks do mean one thing Chairman Connolly is running scared.

A Developers Best Friend

Gerry has been Chairman since 2003. We have seen our property assessments sky rocket, traffic become positively unbearable and crime is up. Gerry isn’t a custom to Virginian Values, but that’s not his fault, considering he comes from Massachusetts the home of Rep. Barney Franks, former Gov. Michael Dukakis and Sen. John “Mister I, voted for the $84 Billion before I voted against it” Kerry.

Gerry likes to put the interest of his own over the interest of the County. He has aloud every developer come into Fairfax County and pave over everything. He lets the developers run around unchecked. Good question is why would he let developers run around unchecked? Could it be that they are his biggest supporters. Gerry Connolly is bought and paid for by the Developers in the area. It is alleged that he is even had a well known Maryland Developer launder money to the Connolly campaign via his maid. Well I guess that’s how they do things in Boston, the problem is Gerry your NOT IN BOSTON ANYMORE. You are in VIRGINIA where we have morals and ethics. We don’t like it when our County Chairmen our bought and owned by Big Developers who want to PAVE over our county. WE HAVE VALUES GERRY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to Red Virginia Blog

I set this up as a Republican living in Virginia want to keep this great State Red in 2008. The Democrats are already counting Virginia in the blue column with the win of that buffoon to the Senate we all know who that is Jim Webb.

Now they are going after Gary Baise who is a Republican who is running for Fairfax County Chairmen. Against Mr. Traffic Nightmare, I think the Democrats see the writing on the wall after eight years of Gerry Connolly, and traffic getting worse and worse. They probably have good reason to fear Gary’s campaign. They know they can’t say traffic situation has gotten better, they know he can’t run on his record of Tax and Spend. They know he is in the back pocket of every Developer in northern Virginia, So, I guess the only thing left is to take cheap shots at Gary. These guys right now are saying Gary will be indicted because he is on an honorary board for CREA, please there are five other people on that honorary board, along with Gary you have a guy who use to be the ED of The Sierra Club and a guy who is president of the Chesapeake bay foundation. I wonder if anyone told them they are about to be indicted as well.

Well this blog is for Conservative issues facing Virginia and lets keep our State RED forever!
